The best of Austrian cuisine and cellar

We are thrilled to welcome you in our cozy restaurant in the heart of Vienna's city centre, close to St. Stephen's Cathedral! Here you will be served the classics of Viennese cuisine - in a modern and contemporary interpretation.
Our restaurant is divided into four rooms - each with a traditional ambience and very special features: from the Stephanszimmer you have a great view of St Stephen's Cathedral, the Stüberl offers an intimate setting with cosy nooks, the Klavierzimmer offers discreet piano accompaniment every day and our Salon is particularly suitable for business lunches or private parties.

Come in and enjoy the Austrian Emperor's favorite dishes.

Our dishes

Enjoy the best of the Viennese and Austrian cuisine in an unmatchable ambiance. Our chef Matthias Schicht takes today’s palate into consideration when preparing traditional dishes.

Our wines

The Austrian wines are the best match for the Austrian food. We follow this easy rule and that is why only Austrian wines are offered. Each evening we open for you a representative sample of white and red wines to taste by the glass.

Spirits and fine brandies

The selection of spirits and fine brandies that the restaurant ”Zum Weißen Rauchfangkehrer“ offers is hard to find in the rest of the world. And it is particularly important to us that such delicacies are served in the appropriate glass.
