Ruster Ausbruch – The paragon of sweet wines
The Ruster Ausbruch is not only the paragon of wines for us. It has always been a very special wine, which has delighted the palates of wine lovers. However, the Ruster Ausbruch was once considered so precious and valuable that it was only drunk by kings and emperors. It was therefore also possible that the Rusters were able to buy the rights to a royal freetown from Emperor Leopold I. in 1681 for a large sum of money and the rights to about 10 years’ harvest of Ausbruch wine.
Daher war es auch möglich, dass sich die Ruster 1681 von Kaiser Leopold I. das Recht einer königlichen Freistadt mit viel Geld und ca. 10 Jahresernten Ausbruch Wein erkaufen konnten.
