What began with chicory, led to the best potatoes
During his studies, Michael Bauer wrote a paper on chicory. He offered the fruits of his labour to city centre restaurants in Vienna. The head chef at one of these was actually on the search for really good potatoes. Michael Bauer offered him a sample of his own potatoes to taste. The chef found them so delicious that he bought the entire contents of Bauer’s cellar on the spot. Today, Michael Bauer supplies potatoes to top-class dining establishments.
